10′ Tall Shoji

Hand-made imported rice paper was specified for these 10′ tall panels. Concerned about longevity, we double laminated all the paper used in the shoji window panels and reinforced the large pocket door shown with a rigid liner for puncture protection. Wider shoji echoed the grid proportions of the narrower panels. A special bleached finish with high gloss topcoat was applied to match the custom millwork in this peaceful master suite.

When viewed from the outside, the shoji are equally attractive, and allow total privacy.
